What I bring to counselling is the depth and breadth of experience gained from more than 25 years of working alongside people across all stages of life. My professional journey has included roles in youth work, primary and secondary education, school leadership, wellbeing leadership, counselling, and psychotherapy. Throughout my career, I have supported children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, educators, and organisational leaders, helping them navigate challenges, recognise strengths, and achieve meaningful growth.
I have extensive experience supporting students and families facing learning difficulties, disability, giftedness, social and emotional challenges, life transitions, and educational concerns. I have also coached and mentored leaders, developed wellbeing initiatives, and worked closely with individuals seeking greater clarity, resilience, and fulfilment in their personal and professional lives.
My approach is informed by substantial academic study and professional training in the fields of psychology, education, leadership, counselling, and psychotherapy. The qualifications I have attained reflect a longstanding commitment to understanding human development, wellbeing, learning, relationships, and personal growth. I continue to engage in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to ensure my practice remains current, evidence-informed, and aligned with best practice.
Perhaps most importantly, clients often value my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where people from diverse backgrounds feel heard, understood, and accepted. Rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life, I work collaboratively with you, helping you draw upon your own strengths, insights, and inner wisdom to find the answers, direction, and confidence you seek.
This combination of extensive life experience, professional expertise, and a deeply relational approach enables me to support individuals, couples, families, and organisations in ways that are both practical and transformative.
